If You Don’t Need a Student Visa

There are no special requirements if you don’t need a student visa (EU citizens or countries that don’t require a visa for short courses). In this case, to study Spanish in Madrid with us, you’ll only need to complete the online registration form. If you already have previous knowledge of Spanish, you’ll need to take a level test to ensure we assign you to the appropriate group.

Requirements for Short-Term Programs (up to 3 months/90 days)

You’ll need to present a passport valid for at least 3 months after your expected departure date, complete the application form, provide recent passport-type photographs, and demonstrate sufficient financial means for your stay. You’ll also need to show your flight reservation, course booking, accommodation, and have travel medical insurance. Specific requirements may vary depending on your nationality, so we recommend checking with the Spanish embassy or consulate in your country.

Requirements for Long-Term Programs (more than 90 days)

Applying for a student visa is necessary if you plan to study in Spain for more than three months. The requirements for obtaining this student visa are:

  • School acceptance letter: You’ll need an acceptance letter from our school confirming your enrollment in a Spanish course with a minimum of 20 hours per week.
  • Medical insurance: You must have medical insurance that covers your entire stay in Spain.
  • Sufficient financial means: You’ll need to demonstrate that you have sufficient funds to cover your expenses during your stay, such as accommodation, maintenance, and transportation.
  • Additional documentation:
    • Criminal record certificate
    • Medical certificate showing you don’t have contagious diseases
    • Proof of accommodation in Madrid
    • Visa fee payment
    • Return flight ticket (may be required)
  • Official translation of documents: Any document not written in Spanish must be translated by a sworn translator.
